Read what the press are saying about Seven Sisters Ice Cream

The Great British Life

The lowdown Bec and Rob Bell opened Seven Sisters farm in May 2011 on the main A50 route from Knutsford to Holmes Chapel where visitors can take in the views of the rolling Cheshire countryside from its ice cream parlour. All of the ice cream is made on the farm using milk from the herd of pedigree Holstein Friesians ( the supermodels of the cow world ) and there is always a selection of fruit ice (sorbets) which are fat-free, dairy-free, lactose-free and gluten-free. They use seasonal and locally sourced ingredients which are what makes their posh ice cream very special.

Number of flavours? 16

Bestseller? ‘Oreo cheesecake and blood orange for the dairy-free - and we do a popping candy for children which is also popular.’ says Bec.

Celebrity scoop? Harry Styles, Bobby Charlton, children’s TV presenters Sam and Mark, as well as Coronation Street stars, footballers and rugby players.

Cheshire’s Top Churners

“Self-proclaimed makers of posh ice cream, another Knutsford favourite Seven Sisters churn milk from their very own herd to make some of the creamiest scoops around. And with all that fresh milk at their fingertips, they have been known to whip up new and interesting flavours when the moment stirs them, though classic tastes are their forte, from honeycomb and salted caramel to cherry cheesecake and the more out-there, cake batter. Not one to rest on its laurels, the farm occasionally works with other local artisans. Our advice? Park up at this bang-on-trend cafe and sit beneath a parasol to gorge on ice cream that’s the epitome of big kids’ dreams.”

The Delicious Dozen: Cheshire's Ice Cream Trail

It doesn’t get more indulgent than at Seven Sisters Posh Ice Cream – lemon meringue, Kinder Bueno, cake-batter mix are some of the naughty but nice treats served up in its Instagrammable parlour. The ice cream is made with milk from the farm’s Holstein Friesian herd, which Seven Sisters dubs “the supermodels of the cow world”. There are sundaes and shakes, waffles and cookie dough, or scoops and tubs just ready to go.
